Elf on the shelf

We are doing the Elf on the shelf this year. Abi wanted to name him Rudolph, so to avoid confusion we are calling him Rudy. Every night he goes all the way back to the North pole to report to Santa that the kids were naughty or nice. Every morning Rudy is in a different spot in the house and the kids wake up and look for him. I wasn't sure about the whole elf thing, whether he was creepy or not, but the kids love it and he is pretty cute. We are also doing an advent calendar and count down to Jesus's birthday.
