My slice of sunshine

In our family we need sunshine and boating to be happy and Seattle is just not cutting it. We closed today on a lot in Orondo (between Wenachee and Chelan) on Lake Entiat. It doesn't look like much, but to us it looks like a future of family fun in the sun. This neighborhood has a private boat launch and beach and we are about a block and a half from the water. It's a place to park our trailer, boat, and jet ski -and a gianormous yard project. These are official 'before' we get started on the landscaping pictures. Brad and I both grew up boating and we hope to provide the same lifestyle for our kids. There is a hang out sand bar up river and one down river, wine tasting in Chelan, family members with a house on the water only a short boat ride away, most importantly a place our friends and family are always welcome to come enjoy the sun, -can't wait!

Hoping for a little better view after some trees get a hair cut. Walking path leads down to the boat launch. Lot fully fenced -good for kids and dogs.

There is a large shed on the property that we can park our boat in.

More trampoline fun

Weird things are happening and Tooting on command

It is kind of a joke in our house, on a daily basis something happens that makes Brad and I say "weird things are happening around here". A broom falling over in the garage for no apparent reason, toys playing music for no reason, patio furniture in weird spots, coming home at night and lights I thought I turned off are on, the alarm clock in the back bedroom has gone off in the middle of the night for two nights in a row (Brad thought he turned it off the night before). There are more things too. Really nothing that can't be explained, the kids probably did it, but odd just the same.

Last night Ben learned how to push one out so to speak. We were all on the trampoline when he tooted on Daddy and we giggled then he got in the squat position and pushed another toot out then starting belly laughing. It was too funny and were dieing laughing so I'm sure by our reaction it's going to start being a regular occurence.

Linda is a bitch

Linda our chicken that is. She is bullying poor Betty around and not letting her eat therefore she's not producing eggs like she should. We starting letting them out of coop during the day so we hope that helps Betty put on some lbs. She's about half the size of Linda now and I think we might have to find a new way to feed them so Betty can get her share. Linda is definitely the alpha in the coop. We are thinking about getting a few more chickens in the future, it would serve Linda right.

Trampoline!!!!

Lucky kiddos. Abi loves the trampoline so much she says "Mom/Dad, it's sooooo much fun can we pleeeeeease go jump". She would live on the trampoline if we let her. We have ourselves a little jumpaholic.

Brad (in training gear) and kiddos

Ben looking cute with a mouth full of something. Poor little guy is still having chronic loose stool issues, although going lactose free has helped, so I think we are going to try going gluten-free. The doctor says he's too little to get tested for food allergies unless it gets bad enough and we can't figure it out by trial and error. It is starting to get to that point with bloody diaper rash and his little tummy getting swollen up and popping out-poor guy. Yikes, gluten-free is going to be an adjustment and make it a pain to go anywhere but I hope it works.

Fathers Day

My kiddos are lucky to have such a great Daddy that loves them so much. Ben wouldn't cooperate for pictures and I love the face Abi is making in the last one.

We went to Northwest Trek Wildlife Park on Father's and it was really cool. The Beaver was one of my favorites, it was so friendly.

Extra cheese please

The bus ride through the open wild life area was the highlight for sure.
