Coeur d'Alene Half Marathon

My Sister and Evie came to visit and made our long holiday weekend extra special.

My sis and I ran the Coeur d'Alene half marathon for the second time. We ran it together two years ago, which was my very first half. I was scared to run it again because I wanted to PR but wasn't sure I could do it. Running has been a challenge and it seemed like I couldn't break through a speed and strength rut and I didn't want to be disappointed in myself. But I guess it's good to be scared. It means I'm doing something I've never done before and I might fail. If I show up anyway and put myself out there I might just be surprised. And I ran the fastest half I've ever run by 6 whole minutes! I just never know what I'll accomplish unless I try. We had such a fun weekend on top of the race, I didn't want the weekend to end. Love my Sis and Miss Evie.

Brad had a great race too, the course for the 10K was poorly marked so he ended up running a lot farther then planned but also a lot faster then he thought he could. Great job babe!

Bloomsday Run

We rocked our ugly sweatshirts at Bloomsday. The race it's self not so much.

I'm a nerd and accidently wore Brad's bib, so his time is really my time, and my time his. I kind of wanted to run it in under an hour and I was close. Only the whole race felt hard, I never got in a rythm and I never felt good. So even though I'm happy with my time it wasn't my best race. 7.5 miles of pain. The funny thing is none of us had a good run, we all felt crappy. Hopefully next year we'll all kick butt.

Abi (and me)

Being able to get outside and take some photos makes me so happy. My sweet Abi is the best model a gal could ask for. Both Ben and Abi helped play photographer and they did great. We are quite the team. I am the luckiest Mom.
