Memorial Day Weekend

We worked our bums off, were sweaty, sore, tired, and stressed, spent all our time and money, grouched at the kids, didn't see Brad for the whole month of May............ but it was all worth it to have our Orondo lot ready for the summer and be able to share it with our good friends and family. I don't think it could of been any better of a weekend, except for a little more hot sun. It was a perfect start to summer with perfect company.
This was up in Chelan on Friday, the darkest clouds I'd ever seen. We lucked out down where we were and didn't get rained on all weekend.

Marshmallow, Abi's favorite.

This is how to eat a smores.

Story time with Jon

Playing in the dirt
Playing in the sand

Boating and jet skiing

Brad wakeboarding on the other side of the lake, you can kind of see him if you squint.
There was so much stuff for the kids to do- riding bikes, golf cart rides, chalk, bubbles, kiddie pool, playing in the dirt, climbing rocks, baseball games (with cheerleaders), boating, jet ski rides, flying kites, frisbee, playing in the sand, campfire and smores...... jeez I wish I was kid. The adults got to enjoy evening kid free time around the campfire where Keri and Jeremy showed off there beer bonging skills and we all played flip cup run around. Brad ate it so hard while running that he got the wind knocked out of him and a bruised/scratched face, leg, and hip. Keri almost crashed the golf cart off a cliff, Jeremy did crash the golf cart into a ditch. Creepy babies switched hands on several occasions. Too much fun to recount everything, if you weren't there you missed out.

I'm super bummed that I missed my niece Evie's baptism which was on Sunday. It happened to be the only weekend the god parents would be in town, and we've had these plans for a year. Isn't she the cutest, sweetest thing ever?!!!! Love, love her!

Pre-K Graduation

How can a kid be sweet, shy, and feisty at the same time? Well, Abi can. We had two wonderful preschool years at Cedar Cross now it's time for Kindergarten. We are excited!

ABIGAIL SAMUELSON-  Abi’s favorite thing about preschool is playing with her girl friends.  She loves spending time at the publishing table making creations to take home, making play dough food, and checking out the materials in the sensory table.  When Abi is feeling really comfortable at school, I hear the best giggling ever echoing throughout our room.  Abi, I’m glad you have enjoyed school this year.

Last day of preschool

Today was Abi's last day of preschool school. It was such a fun year for her that it is kind of sad that it is over. I too will miss the kids and the moms, some of which I know I'll see again and some I probably won't. I look forward to Abi going to Kindergarten next year and continuing to watch her grow and learn. She really is a sweet, beautiful girl that we are so blessed to call our own. I finished sewing Abi's quilt today. She made all the quilt squares throughout the year and she picked out the fabric for the back. Tomorrow is the graduation ceremony, so lots of pictures to follow.

Got to love it anyway! We look forward to hanging with friends and family this weekend!
Funny Memorial Day Ecard: Let's kick off summer with a holiday weekend that isn't warm enough for summer activities.

Kids are great

Ben learned how to ride his tricycle this week, I mean really ride it and burn around and around. It's great because now they can go ride bikes together. Abi has started her "why" phase. "Mom, why do we have arms, Mom, why do we have hair, Mom, why do we have feet, Mom, why do we poop". It has been non-stop for two days. At least some of the questions are easy to answer, but mostly I just say whatever I think of. The "potty" talk has gotten out of control at our house with both of them. Every other minute one of them has to say poop or pee and then they both start giggling. It's not great at home, but really not so great in public. Time to crack down. I've noticed more lately that Abi is my observer child and Ben is the doer. At the park Abi likes to sit and watch other kids while Ben is running around. Abi is often the feisty one and Ben is the sensitive one. But they both can be unbelievably sweet and cranky, in the same 10 seconds! Overall, they have gotten easier to take of over the past year and potty training time for Ben is just around the corner.

I've been busy......

Decided to change up some glass vases, I've seen this all over pinterest and decided to give it a try.

Since I'm class mom it's my job to get together an end of the year gift for the teacher. Her name is teacher Correne "C" and this was her 25th year teaching at CCCP (favorite color is red). I painted the C with chalk board paint I'm going to have all the kids in the class sign it with chalk.
