 After about 4 hours of rides and lunch we went to the water park side. Everyone had a blast in the wave pool and lazy river. The girls did a tube slide together and a speed slide and lots of slides in the kid area.

 After about 3 hours of swimming we went back for more rides. I thought Cate was waiting so patiently then realized she was asleep.

Abi's first upside down roller coaster, the Corkscrew. She decided to do it without any coaxing and her and Hilie went on it by themselves.

Hilie stayed another night with us then we went boating on Coeur d'Alene with her family the next day. The kids swam, kayaked, played on the paddle boat, and swim platform with diving board and slide all day long. She had the best birthday weekend ever, in her words. We are all still recovering. 

My girl is growing up, 9 years old

This girl is sweet beyond sweet, she loves like no other. She has a heart of pure gold. She is the greatest help with everything around the house and has grown to love cooking. She takes care of Cate like a little mom and helps keep her brother in line. She loves to play, read, and learn. She is naturally beautiful and smart. She is a fish. Her greatest love is swimming and diving and amusement parks. She is brave and strong and perfect. Happy 9th birthday sweet Abi! We love you beyond. Last year in the single digits, stop growing......

This is summer

Do you remember summer? Not simply the season. The state of mind. The summer kids know and feel and taste and live. Staying up late, playing outside until dark, getting filthy. Wearing your swimsuit all day. Hearing the ice truck come down the street, swimming, biking, sprinkler running. Playing with friends all day, living off popsicles, watching the sun set. Being free and happy. Enduring bedtime only so you can wake up and do it all over again the next day. This is summer.

We know how to do summer and we love every second-
