Sunshine girl

Cate and I like to sing the sunshine power song, from an Umizoomi episode with a sunshine fairy. She is our little sunshine girl with sunshine power. We call her lemmy, lemon, or lulu cause she's blond and bright like a lemon and lights up the room with her sunny personality. A sweet ray of sunshine that brightens our day.

I'm kinda loving her grown out baby mullet phase, I think it's adorable.

My mini garbage helper. Her carefree, arms and legs flailing in every direction, cheerful prance cracks me up every time.

Happy birthday Gram!

Couldn't help myself, had some editing fun.

We had fun making Grandma's birthday sign.

It came out great, good job Keri!

Post Falls Park

The out takes are my favorite.
The Spokane River is raging.

Triple Play night

The event was hosted by Abi's school, meaning it was way cheaper than normal, and we got to see friends.

Rock climbing wall, they both easily made it to the top to ring the bell multiple times.
Ropes course, Ben was the first one up and ready to go.
Next it was up to the very top, Abi did everything. She was super brave.

Ben wasn't quite sure but he did go up to the top and did one bridge.
Brad on tight rope and Abi on the balance beam way up top.

Then on to bumper cars and mini golf.

Then on to the water park area, Abi and Brad did every water slide. Ben played with a school friend on the kid slides while Cate and I floated in the wave pool. It's safe to say the kids had a blast!

Mom

We are still here, without you.
Five years later.
How did time and space take me so far away from when I had you?
I want you here.
I feel alone without you.
I miss the comfort of your presence.
My best friend, life-long ally, confidant, security blanket, greatest fan, biggest supporter, always there to help, never judging, I'll love you matter what person is missing.
I still need you.
Sometimes I just want to tell you something. Or just want you to be able to cuddle Cate.
These things will never change.
Just like the love for you in my heart.

Lookout Pass

Lookout pass is only about an hour from our house, right on the Idaho Montana border. The conditions were perfect for spring skiing. The sun was out, high 30's, didn't even need a coat. We are super proud of these kids. They did a lesson for an hour and a half then skied for 3 more hours on their own. They went up the chair lift and down all by themselves, and didn't even want to leave when it was time to go. They can't wait to go again. We are thinking season passes might be in our future!
Abi up on the chair lift all by herself.

Abi and Ben

Cate and I chilling at the bottom. She was a good little. She couldn't wait to get her skis on, then immediately decided she didn't like them. Then later she decided she liked them again and did some actual skiing. I think next time she'll be ready for a lesson.
Same lodge, one side is Idaho the other is Montana.

How to get a toddler on a chair lift.

Skiing definitely wore the baby out, and made daylight savings pretty easy.

Gettin our swim on

We joined the YMCA mainly so Brad could lap swim for his Iron man, but the kids also love the pool. We've been trying to swim at least once a week.
