This was Ben's first cross country meet and Abi's second time on the cross country team.
They did each grade and gender separately starting with the youngest, so Ben got to go a few heats before Abi. They both ran one mile.
He did great. He fell on the pavement in the first hundred yards and was bleeding from his knee and elbow the whole time but finished strong. He was a tough guy.
Abi ran hard. I was really proud of her for putting in effort. (teal shorts)
