Iron man 70.3

It took hours, days, and months of preparation. He trained harder than he has ever trained. He was nervous, worried, and probably a little scared. But he did awesome! 1 mile swim+56 mile bike ride+13.3 mile run=70.3 miles
Waiting before swim
It was a rolling start, so it took 30 minutes for all the swimmers to get in the water. Brad was worried he wasn't very fast so he started near the end.
They swam out and back
A sea of bikes in the transition area.
Swimmers coming in. Everyone had a similar wet suit so I was worried I'd miss him.

Bike transition
Off he goes
I saw him after his first small loop on the bike going out for the big loop.
 Transition to run
He ran through McEuen Park twice so we got to cheer him on, and play at the park.
Dying inside but hiding it while, looking tough going into the last 6 mile lap.
Waiting for him to finish in 95 degree heat. Poor athletes! It was hot for us doing nothing.
Here he comes down the home stretch!
The boys wanted to give high fives.
 To the finish line
Finished! Bragging rights earned.
He didn't even cry. I would of cried like a baby after finishing.
He did say it was the hardest thing he's ever done.
We are so proud of you! #amazingirondaddy #catebeingcate
His stats:
Swim 48 minutes (better than his 60 min goal)
Bike 3:47 (he wanted to average 15mph on bike and did)
Run 2:58 (wanted to run in under 3 hours and did)
Each transition was short too, 10 min for the first 7 min for the second.
Definitely a lot to be proud of! Not only did he survive and complete the race, he did great!
