Silverwood Theme Park

Brad's work has Silverwood days where we get in (free!) two hours before the park opens to the public. With small-ish children it's the way to go, no waiting, no crowds. We brought our cousin Sonja along so Abi would have someone to ride the rides with. The weather was a little crazy, super hot when we arrived then a thunder storm rolled through mid-day dumping rain. The whole park shut down for about 30 minutes and everyone took cover. Then everything resumed as normal and the sun came back out. There were a lot less people because of the weather so I think that worked in our favor.
Did they give us enough wrist bands?

Mini spinning rollercoaster, one of the favorites.
Flying dogs
Helicopters, Cate's favorite. She cried every time she had to get off.
Riding with brother
Brad did Panic Plunge

Jumping frog
Big swing
Thunder canyon- they got soaked
They all did the log ride too, but I missed getting a picture of them. Abi did her first big roller coast Timber of Terror, and she did not like it. She was a good sport for trying and in her defense it is kind of a scary one. After lunch we headed over to Boulder Beach and it was empty, which was awesome. The girls were out in the middle of the wave pool for about an hour and I could easily see them and wasn't worried about them getting trampled. Cate and Ben loved the shallow water that they could wade out and swim in.
Big slides

Our kids loved this giant kid toy, I think they could of stayed here all day. Meanwhile Brad and Sonja did some big slides. Abi also got in a big slide before we left.
After hitting up all the water slides, wave pool, and lazy river we headed back for more rides.
Cate was getting tired, no nap all day. But she was a super trooper.
Silly hats
Tilt-a-whirl
They did the scrambler too, but couldn't get a picture it moved too fast.

Cate and I on the flying Elephants
More Helicopter rides with sissy, she liked to go as high as they would go and wave.
Brad and Sonja did Aftershock which is the biggest, tallest, scariest ride they have. Props to Sonja. In the picture below, it's the blue and green one. We didn't leave until after 6pm so it was a long day, Cate fell asleep on the way home and didn't wake up until 7:30am this morning. All the kids did great, no complaining even with all the walking, and everyone had a blast.
