Ben's class field trip to Hidden Acres

 Hidden Acres is in the Green Bluff area. We got to have pumpkin donuts and apple cider, pet pigs, rabbits, ducks, and a pony, went for a hay ride, played in a hay maze, picked an apple to eat and a pumpkin. I'm glad I got to go be part of his first school field trip, we both had a great time. I enjoyed watching him run around with his new buddies.

Happy Garden

When the world feels negative and abrasive to my sensitive soul, the garden is always good. It's always happy. Amazing and beautiful things can grow from nothing.

 We got another watermelon, a honeydew melon, and we got corn! We ate corn with dinner over the weekend and we still have a lot more to harvest. 

We picked our pumpkins, 6 total. Even Maggie gets one.

 

Green Bluff

We got lucky at Green Bluff this year, it wasn't very crowded and weather was great. They had three bouncy houses, a cow ride behind a quad, slides, bikes, hay maze, bouncy bubble, and of course a corn maze. It was Cate's first time first time doing a corn maze, she liked hiding in the corn.

Abi's not happy that we are lost.

It was the first time we didn't make it through the maze, we ended up coming back out the entrance. But after being lost forever we were happy to be out.

The kids had a ton of fun.

Someday when the pages of my life end, I know these years are my favorite chapter.

Ben's 6th Birthday

 Our wild, silly, sweet boy turned 6! He had a great day at school. Brad and I (and Cate) went and had lunch with him at school and brought him Carls Jr, he got a special crown to wear, the principal came and gave him a special pencil, and he was the VIP of the day and got to share his favorite birthday present (a remote control monster truck). Papa Marc came to visit over the weekend to celebrate and took him shopping for toys and we went out for a special Birthday dinner. Lucky boy!

He guessed the big box was a bean bag chair from Gram and Papa and he was right! He loves it.

 Brad took the kids to the Coug game last weekend by himself (since I was working).

They got to see aunt Keri and baby Parker.

Then Brad took the kids to get free donuts if dressed like a pirate on Pirate Day. They each got a dozen donuts for free!
