Moving has been an adventure. The weather here is fabulous and our rental house is great. Only driving an hour and a half to go to a coug game is awesome. Things are going great. On the flip side I still miss my mom, I'm tired, the kids are plotting to drive me crazy but I miss them crazy bad during the day, work is so different. We lost our buyer for our house because it flooded so now we are totally screwed. Sometimes I just want to cry. I wish my mom was here. I need a shoulder to cry on and an ear to complain too. I miss her and moving doesn't change that. School has been a struggle for Abi and we agonized over whether we made the right choice with all day kindergarten, finally this week we are starting to think we made a good choice. She has been a pill lately but I think she just needs extra hugs. Little buddy doesn't sleep, which is new for him since the move, and brutal for us. He has to be snuggled in bed every night which is so sweet and I love, but so time consuming when I have 5 thousand things to do before I go to bed. Hard to enjoy the small stuff. How does one enjoy all the great things in life when there is no time? We had a great weekend at our first coug game of the year and got some much needed family time.

I didn't have anything to wear to the game so Brad donated an old coug shirt for me to cut up. Turned out cute!

Boys tailgating

Girls tailgating

Over the years we always tailgate next to the same families (we don't know) but the kids are all friends and they congregate in front of our trailer.

Got to hang with my sister!

Ben got a free ride.

Campus at night

Me and my favorite girl

Ben got an early b-day present in Pullman, tackle dummy.

Wind energy in the wheat fields, new since my last drive from Spokane to Pullman.

Our house during the day, bright!

Last picture I have of my mom, stumbled upon it by accident. Miss you mom!

First full week of school for Ab's and I think she's getting the hang of it. Since I start work early it is always a laugh when I pick her up from school to see what she is wearing and how Daddy did her hair. It hasn't gotten any easier to be away from them but I'm so busy at work I don't have a lot of time to think about it. And honestly they have way more to do and learn then just hanging with me all day. We are super looking forward to going to our first Cougar football game this weekend in Pullman. The best part being only an hour and half drive home. Last night we checked out our neighborhood park-

New house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think we are excited or what? I used to like to think stuff is just stuff and we really don't need any of it, but I take that all back because it is sooooooooo nice to have all our stuff and be in a home. Also, I decided I love space. This house has so much space it is wonderful, I can breathe. Spokane in general is like a breath of fresh air, the sky is always big and open and this house is big and open, it just feels good.

The rental house is on a cul-de-sac and backs up to a green belt.

I should have taken pictures during the day because this house is so bright.
Front room

Kitchen

Family room

Patio

Not a bad back yard, it's so quiet and comes with deer.

Little buddy hair cut time, he wouldn't let me get an after picture so you'll have to take my word that he is very handsome.

Another use for moving boxes (haircut box).

Miss Abi is liking school. She never really wants to go but when I pick her up she always says she had a great day. It's hard for me to be away from her, but I know it will be good her to learn and gain confidence on her own.

Class of 2026

Twas the night before Kindergarten and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. Our child was nestled and snug in her bed while dreams of new Kindergarten friends danced in her head. Clothes were laid out on the dresser with care in hopes that the first day of school would soon be there.

The morning started so great first one up and ready for school. Then melt down after melt down. Ben was wearing shorts and she wanted to wear shorts, but not just any shorts, old stained 2 sizes too small ones. Then she didn't want to carry her backpack because it was too big. Tears at home and all the way into the class room. Only kid crying. Poor girl, I think the move has been hard and she is so nervous about everything. I was hoping we'd be in our house before school started.

Well, at least she looked cute. And she did end up having a good first day. Her teacher is really nice and really young, I think she'll really like her. She sits next to a little boy named Ethan and she had a lot to say about him.

One day at the lake

Not only did our house flood and destroy everything and delay our move but it also caused us to miss out on our last lake weekend of the summer. At least we squeezed one day in on our way back. It was wonderful.....

Happy anniversary babe!

Sorry Rusty's we found a replacement that is even better, didn't even though that was possible. Billy Burgers is in Creston, WA right on our way to the lake. If you ever drive through this teeny tiny town we highly recommend this mom and pop hole in the wall.

Abi's first day of school is tomorrow!!!!
