Chickens are a-laying, yay!

So our "Raising chickens for dummies" book didn't help these dummies when Betty and Linda stopped laying eggs. We were scratching our heads wondering what we did wrong, when we discovered all or most chickens take ~2 months a year off from laying to molt. Molting is where they loose all their feathers and make new ones. The good news is that the chickens are laying again, yay! Just in time to make fresh egg nog-not!
