My Sister and Evie came to visit and made our long holiday weekend extra special.
My sis and I ran the Coeur d'Alene half marathon for the second time. We ran it together two years ago, which was my very first half. I was scared to run it again because I wanted to PR but wasn't sure I could do it. Running has been a challenge and it seemed like I couldn't break through a speed and strength rut and I didn't want to be disappointed in myself. But I guess it's good to be scared. It means I'm doing something I've never done before and I might fail. If I show up anyway and put myself out there I might just be surprised. And I ran the fastest half I've ever run by 6 whole minutes! I just never know what I'll accomplish unless I try. We had such a fun weekend on top of the race, I didn't want the weekend to end. Love my Sis and Miss Evie.
Brad had a great race too, the course for the 10K was poorly marked so he ended up running a lot farther then planned but also a lot faster then he thought he could. Great job babe!
