Ghost Ball
As always Ghost Ball didn't disappoint. I believe this is our fifth year and one of the most fun.
Elevations hosts the event as a fundraiser. Their mission- Elevating children with special needs to reach their full potential by providing access to the resources and support they need to improve their families’ overall quality of life. It's a win/win event.
We have the best friends, seriously.
Awkward prom pose, sideways mullet, mustache, banana hair clip, spray glitter. Priceless.
In looking at the pictures from last night I love the banana is everywhere. It's like where's Waldo with the banana.
Our friends Dan and Nancy were Cheech and Chong, they got second in the costume competition.
Photo bombing banana
Hmmm, no wonder why I didn't feel so good the next day.

Running life
I started running to change something about myself, but running has changed me. Almost 2 years later, and about 10 pounds lighter, I am still running (about 20 miles a week).
I found the five ways running changes you and yes it totally applies!
-I’ve learned so much about patience, persistence, discipline, and practice. Hard work really does pay off, and I have proof. I thought it would never get easier, I would never get where I wanted to be, but I did!
-“Let it go” and be in the moment. For a worrier and planner like myself, it's my time to zone out.
-To believe in myself. Running is a good reminder to myself that I can accomplish anything I put my mind and heart into.
-It’s okay to brag! I still have a hard time with this, but my success is not someone else's failure.
-Be flexible. I do what I can when I can, and try to be easy on myself when I can't.

Running is also my time to enjoy the sun, the countryside, my music, and my me-time. In other words it's my happy time.
Working on my speed. Approaching 8 minute miles.
Slime baff
Ben's slime baff was truly that most slimy, gross bath ever. So of coarse he loved it. Birthday gift win. -And as we added more water it stayed just at slimy.

Papa week
Our life is so busy that it is pretty special for our kids to have someone that has nothing to do but hang out with them. To have an adult all to themselves that only wants to play with them. Doesn't happen very often in our go-go life. Thanks for the spending the week with us Papa and giving our kids so much love and attention. They adore you <3

Benjamin's birthday week
Birthday door
Presents at 6:30am
He loves his new bike.
And his hammock
Birthday hiking trip
Everyone was doing great, and then it started it snow.
and rain, and sleet.
And thunder and lightening while snowing.
By the time they hiked up to where they were going to camp everyone was wet and cold and they weren't sure there was enough dry wood to make a fire so for safety reasons they had to turn and around and come back. It was kind of a bummer. Missed the good weather by one weekend. We'll try again in the spring.....
Waiting for pizza on the way home.
Lucas spent the night for his birthday anyway and the next day we had friends over for cake.
Hope you had a great birthday week buddy, love you!
