Disneyland day 2

Our first day we spent the whole day at Disneyland, minus our swim break, so this day we decided to spend half of the day at California Adventure and half the day at Disneyland since we had park hopper passes.

Fidget spinners, good for keeping busy while waiting.
Cinderella's castle
We started the day with a Jungle Cruise.
The kids liked the Jungle cruise and everyone wanted to do the teacups again so we did.
Cate had her heart set on doing the carousal.
I believe we did the Haunted Mansion and Thunder Mountain Railroad next. The kids loved Thunder Mountain (Cate was too small to go) and they did not like the Haunted Mansion. At this point Thunder Mountain was their favorite ride.
Disneyland got annoyingly crowded in the afternoon so we had ice cream for lunch and went over to California Adventure. We did every ride in the Bugs Life area. It was much less crowded and crazy.
The best part about California Adventure besides being less crowded was they serve alcohol, and we deserved a beer.

The big Mickey wheel
Jumping Jelly Fish
We did some more rides on Paradise Pier, Goofy's Sky School was a fave, then went shopping at Downtown Disney for special gifts for the kids. Each of the girls made a special build-a-bear and Ben built a custom remote control car. They were happy kids!

Mater ride in Radiator Springs.
Selfie fail, oh Cate.

Cate got a bubble wand to help keep her busy when she wasn't allowed to go on the rides. She was happy!
We went all day surviving off cotton candy and diet coke, so at dinner time Cate was one tired bear sleep eating.
We decided to do an all day-er and keep going after dinner. Cate was sleeping in her stroller so we went back to Disneyland and did Pirates of the Caribbean and Thunder Mountain again before calling it a day. We headed home for a late night swim before bed.
Another great, busy, went too fast day. We never waited more than about 25 minutes for any ride and used a fast pass as much as possible. We had the normal toddler meltdowns and crowd frustration, but truly stayed in good spirits all day. Only one more day left......

Disneyland adventures Day 1

Waiting to leaving Spokane!
We made it to Anaheim.
Ben asked if these were real palm trees.
Hotel
The day we arrived we swam and went and checked out Downtown Disney.
And watched the fireworks from our hotel.
Day 1 Disneyland
The first ride we did was Buzz Lightyear, then the Astro Oribitor.
Finding Nemo Submarine ride
Autotopia
It's a Small World ride, Cate's favorite.
Toon Town
Our first small roller coaster, Cate was barely tall enough and was not a fan.
Mickey's House
Disneyland got too hot and crowded so we took a pool break.
Back at it in the evening, Brad and the kids did Splash Mountain. The kids didn't love it.
Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin
Tea Cups, the kids loved this, Brad and I not so much.
The kids wanted to do the mini roller coaster again so Cate and I sat this one out.
We watched the fireworks again, saw some of the electrical parade, did a few more rides and finally made it home around 10pm. I like Disneyland even more at night. More fun tomorrow!

Papa week

Ben's soccer game, he scored two goals!

Everyone had fun playing trains, soccer, and baseball with Papa.
 Papa adores Cate
 They are too cute
 Cate adores Papa

Thanks Dad for all your help all week! Girls night, shopping kid free, and my runs would have been a lot more tricky without you :) We miss you already.

Bloomsday 12K

Ugly sweatshirts to stay warm before, then they get donated. Should I be offended that the sweatshirt Brad picked out for me at Value Village was big enough for both of us to fit in?

I was super happy with my time since this was pretty much my first race ever. I beat Brad, and everyone in our group, which will probably never happen again! It must have been my day since my race number was my birthday, the odds of that are ridiculous. 7.5 miles never felt so good.

Old dog

Maggie had a giant tumor/cyst on her stomach which burst last week. Emergency surgery later, she is on the mend. Poor old dogger.
Still has to be right by my side even when she doesn't feel well.

Happy kids

Waking up to the sound of laughter is the best way to start the day :)
One day soon she won't be little anymore.
I love her littleness.

Papa visit! The kids loved a quick Papa and Grammy visit over the weekend.
Hop on pop!
