Kid rooms

I decided it was time for kid room updates.
I took Cate's baby stuff down and got her a real comforter. I also got some cheap wall decor from the Target dollar bins since they have cute Valentines decorations right now.

Ben had an old race car comforter and Thomas the Train decorations so I got him a new comforter and gave him big boy sporty decorations.

Abi had an old dusty purple and white flower duvet, so I let her pick out her own new duvet and turquoise sheets. She did a good job! We took her giant Elsa down but kept the the snow flakes.

All the comforters were (on sale) from Target of course, since I'm a walking advertisement for them.
The kids are happy and so am I ;)

Spokane winter

From what I've heard this is a typical Spokane winter, we've just had really mild winters the past couple years. I like the snow it can stay, I'm just getting tired of the negative temperatures. The bitter cold is starting to wear on us. I'm ready to feel my toes and fingers again.

When the snow is too deep to walk in, so you have to roll and crawl.

Snow day. Spokane has only had a few snow days in the past ten years.

Snow tunnel, entrance to the snow fort.

Last week we made lots of snow ice cream, our kids are obsessed!
8 cups snow
10oz sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Brad and I agree, it's good!

The house looks perdy in the snow.

Our snow berm is almost as tall as them.
If you don't drive super straight you'll rub on the sides.

When we ask Cate to feed the dog...... sorry Maggie I don't think so.

Dad and daughter date night

Dad and daughter date night at the Women's basketball game in Pullman. $10 a ticket and they got dinner, Abi got a sweatshirt, and they got to meet some of the players.
They even won hats in the raffle.

Snow

Reason #1 I love Spokane: summer.
Reason #2 I love Spokane: snow.

Our snowman with a corn husk scarf.
Abi sledding on the golf course in Liberty Lake.

Our piles around the driveway are getting big

2017 Inspiration

Appreciate normal

Give love
Laugh, have ladies wine nights, date nights, and Sunday dinners.
Spread your wings and fly, with salad tongs. Just like Nanners.

NYE

2016: Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway (pretty much the theme of our lives, lol). Fireball good, Tequlia Ok, Jagermeister bad.

NYE was all about the ice luge (with a baby frozen in it) and Cards Against Humanity.
Cate sacked out around 9:30 in my lap, but Abi and Ben rocked it until midnight. They watched the ball drop, blew party whistles, and pulled party poppers. A fun time was had by all.

Jerm where are you?
Silly, serious family selfies

New years day snowed and snowed and snowed. We spent all day on Jeremy and Larissa's couch watching football so by the time we got home we had to dig out.
