Wenachtee half

I ran my second half marathon in Wenachtee last weekend. My first half I had no expectations, I was simply hoping to finish and not be super slow for my sister. This time I was nervous because I wanted to finish faster than my last (without my pacer-sister) and I was worried about my knee. My knee had been killing me on my last couple training runs. Luckily I got to mile 10 before the pain got really bad. I considered not finishing the race several times and it was all I could do to keep moving. Darn knee, I know I could of beat my time because the rest of me felt great. I ended up finishing in 1:58 which was about the same as last time. Under 2 hours so I was happy. I will be faster next time!

Annie, our cousin, ran too and did amazing. This was her first half. She works full time, has two small kids, and commutes an hour minimum to work everyday. Somehow she still found time to train. AND, she ran with a raging hand, foot, mouth infection she got from her kids. Her feet and hands were completely swollen and stiff and she hadn't slept. Every single step hurt and she still ran 13.1 miles. She is incredible. She is one of the hardest working people I know and never ever complains about anything and is always happy. I love her so.
Abi got a medal for Daddy even though he didn't run.
The rest of the weekend was great too. We swam in the pool, hot tubbed, wine tasted, bowled, went to the park.

Chelan did not disappoint, can't wait to go back.

I take pictures simply because today will never happen again. Capturing love and life one picture at a time. I already know I'll miss that baby tooth smile, those sweet  big eyes, long hair in the face, and cute freckles on the nose. I'm holding on to a perfect moment in time before it slips by unnoticed. Appreciating the perfect gift each day brings.

Spring Break

We had a staycation this year. Moving and colds took a toll on us, but we still had fun. We went rollerblading downtown at the ice ribbon (the ice was gone), went to parks, a movie, shopping, road trip to Pullman and had a sleepover with friends. The only bummer was no skiing, too warm in the mountains. Which is funny because it still seems freezing outside. We are more than ready for summer.

Papa time

We are beyond grateful to have such a helpful family. It takes a village, and our village is the best. It's been a crazy week moving but we are getting settled and the kids love going to the park by our house.

Love this one. Thanks Papa for everything, miss you already!
