Easter bunny

The Easter bunny came to our house and brought goodies.

Including silly glasses
and cowboy boots!

We had a big Sunday brunch with family.
It was raining so we hid eggs in the shop.

Abi was the fastest egg finder.

Cate just wanted to eat treats.
Loving their boots <3

Stop growing

Cate feeds herself, sometimes she even does a neater job than the bigs.
Sits like a big kid.
Walks up and down the stairs like a big kid.
Got a big girl sleeping bag with her name on it from Grandma Vicki.

Life after Mama A

As year four of Life after Mama A has come to a close I've decided I've learned a lot about pain and love and myself. The harder something is the better you become. Grieving has made me softer and more open. Pain has brought me compassion and understanding I never had before. I seek out, pray for, and hold on to stories that fill my heart with pain and love. Kelly and Holly and most recently Joey Feek (see below). My sadness is love and love is the strength I need to get through the day. I've always felt a little broken (sensitive) and now that I actually have a reason to be broken I feel healed and strong. I feel closer to my mom, and it brings me joy and lets me know I'm on the right path. I feel like she is smiling. I wish she never had to suffer. At the end and in all the other ways throughout her life. But none of that matters now and she is whole again. My heart still needs her, I still need her, just one more hug and one more kiss that I'll never get.

This is the sweetest and most tear jerking blog I've ever read. I love it-

My favorite little bunnies

Thankful these cute bunnies tolerate my camera and me. I just want to capture their tender hearts. They are my truest loves. Messy, dirty, house destroying loves, but the best loves ever. (Cate in her current state of grouch refused bunny ears and smiles)

As happy as she got this week. #teethingsucks

Garden fence coming along

I'm window looker out-er and this view never gets old. I think I was born to live a country life. #soblessed

Mommy meltdown/Ready for spring/Cate 18 months

Last week sucked. Usually I'm happy and the sun is shining and everyone is good. But not last week. Last week I was grouchy, tired, it rained, and kids were feeling the same. Cate was sick and up all night most nights. There was no patience or putting up poky, non-listening, no-coroporating kids. I felt guilty for yelling, and feeling out of wack was killing me. We also had a major orthodontist meltdown, everyone (including me) cried on the way home. Then the glorious weekend came, thank goodness! I had to work but managed to catch up on sleep. Abi had a fun basketball game, we went and saw the play Mary Poppins, had dinner with friends, attended a tea party for us girlies, then ended the weekend with a family dinner. It was busy but it brought me out of my funk. There was one lovely day of sun last week, so I begged the kids to come outside and help me get some pictures of Cate (18 months). Nothing raises my spirit like cute pictures of the kiddos. At least something good came out of last week. And bring on spring already!

Cate 18 months, better late than never :)

Busy, crazy fun, epic weekend

Papa at Abi's basketball game

We played Hillie's team. I actually got an action shot with both of them!
(Hillie #4, Abi #2)
Then we packed up to go to Priest Lake for Steve's 40th birthday party and spent the day snowmobiling.

It was amazing beautiful once we got above the fog.

We had a break down (in the fog) which was a bummer.

I crashed on our way back which was a big bummer.

Then we partied the night away! Brad was making fun of me calling it an epic weekend, but it truly was something amazing that can never be duplicated.

When we got home we went to explore Post Falls park, it was raging.

The kids had a super fun weekend with Papa.

This baby is not scared of any slide, matter how steep or tall :/

Thanks so much Dad for watching the kids and letting us have such a wonderful weekend!
