Eat, Drink, and be Merry -that's what we did!

 

 

Santa came and spoiled us!

We had a great Christmas! We were so lucky to be surrounded by family that traveled to be with us! 

 

We did all kinds of activities while the fam was in town. Wine tasting, lunch at the Davenport Hotel, went to River Front Park and rode the carousel and gondolas over Spokane falls. It was the longest/shortest gondola ride ever! If you've been on it you know what I mean :) Went to downtown Coeur d'Alene for lunch and played at the park on the water front (it was freezing!!!!) but fun. I'll be sad when everyone has to go. We had a great holiday!

Hope my kiddos will get this someday.

All I want for Christmas is snow. And we have some, hope it stays! It took Brad and I an hour with two snow shovels to clear our driveway.

Dec 16th

Was my mommy's birthday. Doesn't matter how much time goes by I'll always miss my mom. I'm getting used to her being gone. But there are still many days I need a mom. She hated this baby picture and I think it's adorable. Miss you mom, hope you had a good birthday!

Had some days off at home with buddy this week. I miss hanging out with him all day.

When we say we are going to have a holiday themed party our friends never disappoint. I don't know if these costumes can be beat. Fun night with friends!

Not sure exactly what this costume is, but it was pretty darn funny.

 

 

Good old fashioned leg wrestling, Nancy is the champ. Took Jeremy and all the boys down.

 

I wanted Brad to put the Santa costume back on later in the night and he didn't want to, so I took matters into my own hands.

Holy mother, it's only two weeks until Christmas! And we only have about half our shopping done and no lights up on the outside. It's just been too cold to be outside. Shout out to my Grandma Connie her birthday would have been last Monday, miss your little wrinkly face grams. It was 33 today and felt warm! I finally scooped dog do today for the first time in forever and now I can say I have a true appreciate for poopiscles. So much easier to scoop and I don't have to worry about stepping in it. Between trying to remember to move the elf on the shelf every night, opening the advent calendar every day, and everything else I'm trying to remember to do before the holidays I'm to lucky to remember to put my unds on everyday. Sometimes inside out, but on :)

Burrr!

Negative 15 with wind chill this weekend, burrr! Never felt anything so cold in my whole life! High of 9 today. But I will have to say I'll trade my rain boots and umbrella for five layers of clothing and no exposed skin for sunshine. Still have to wear my sunglasses. I think the sun shines right down into my soul and makes me happy.

With weather this ridiculous we are not going to hunt down a tree in the elements so we did drive-bys at all the local tree stands until we found one with nobles. We hopped out, picked a tree, and had it loaded in under 5 minutes. Pretty awesome considering. The tree was so cold it cooled down the whole house like an air conditioner. It was literally frozen and started to sweat when it defrosted.

Super hero Ben

Took Abo to Urgent Care last night because she was unseasonably grouchy, which is difficult for her, and complaining her ear hurt. Yep, first ear infection ever! I used to have such healthy children, what happened?

 

Ben got some Batman jams from my sis during our super early Christmas on Thanksgiving. 

He's the cutest (chunky, non-sleeping) super hero I've seen! It has a cape too.
